<\/figure>\n\n\n\nWhat is the Water Quality program and why does the Lake Minnewawa Association operate the harvester?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lake Minnewawa Association (LMA) has been dedicated to preserving and enhancing Lake Minnewawa since 1961. Our mission encompasses controlling pollution, beautification, water safety, and stable water level maintenance. We are committed to promoting and implementing methods to improve and maintain the overall condition of the lake. As part of our water quality program, our team operates the weed harvester under the supervision of the MN DNR, ensuring clear and unobstructed navigation paths on the lake. This allows everyone to have unfettered access to the main areas of the lake for recreation and enjoyment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why are we looking at buying a new machine after only ten years?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The current equipment, although well-maintained, is starting to show signs of aging. Like all large equipment, there comes a point when an existing machine requires more frequent repairs over time. Now appears to be the right time to consider purchasing a new harvester, while the existing machine still has optimal value either through sale or trade-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why was Aquarius Systems chosen as the equipment provider for this purchase?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lake Management Association (LMA) has established a strong and positive partnership with Aquarius Systems over the years. Our original harvester, acquired in 1987, and the current trailer, purchased in 2004, both came from Aquarius. When we were in the market for the current harvester, Aquarius collaborated with us to ensure it had the necessary features to optimize our water quality program. Their consultative and supportive approach throughout the process reaffirmed our confidence in their expertise.
